Distance Teaching and Learning

Improve distance teaching and learning with IRIS Connect

IRIS Connect has made some enhancements to our tools to ensure if schools are working remotely, or are partially open, educators can still support and learn from one another, and improve distance teaching and learning.

Whether you are new, or an existing school using IRIS Connect – our latest video-based professional learning tools enable teachers to connect wherever they are, make teaching and learning visible wherever it is happening, and collectively develop their practice whenever they need to.

Find out today how IRIS Connect can improve distance teaching and learning in your school.

What’s new for IRIS Connect?

Integrated screen capture tools for distance teaching and learning

Ensure whatever teaching space is used (perhaps a video call or Google Classrooms), teachers can continue to record their practices, reflect, collaborate and receive coaching to improve teaching practice. This means that instead of using the Discovery Kit in the classroom, teachers can use the Screen Capture feature to record remote teaching of a lesson;

  • Capture annotated “how-to” videos and share them with all staff
  • Enable peer collaboration and coaching over a distance
  • Enable staff to connect and support each other
  • Develop libraries of practice and resources aligned with effective online instruction

Watch this video from IRIS Connect UK Managing Director, Andy Newell to hear more about the new tools and features in IRIS Connect:

All of the tools features and resources discussed are free to IRIS Connect customers and access to supportive resources and communities are free to every teacher.

If you have any questions related to the tools and features mentioned in the video, or would like to share some feedback or suggestions for additional features that could help you, please contact us.
